About us
In this Project, scaffolds prepared from synthetic and biological molecules and their combinations will be seeded with appropriate types of differentiated and stem cells
The cells on the scaffolds will be then cultured under conventional static conditions, and also in dynamic bioreactors, where the cells will be exposed to appropriate mechanical stimulation and to special culture media supporting the maturation of cells towards a desired phenotype. The cell-material constructs created under in vitro conditions will be further tested in vivo on laboratory animals.
Aims:
- Construction of novel bioartificial replacements of blood vessels, heart valves, bone tissue and skin using advanced methods of tissue engineering
- Inovation of current commercially available and clinically used tissue replacements.
- Construction of biosensors and stimulators of cell functions
